MCS GATE - Continued
MALFUNCTION
MCS gate will not operate with driver's controls.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
Check for air leaks throughout vehicle (chassis) air system.
Tighten or replace leaking or damaged air system components (TM 9-2320-302-20-1,
TM 9-2320-302-20-2, TM 9-2320-363-20-1, or TM 9-2320-363-20-2).
2.
Check MCS tailgate for leaking or damaged air system components.
NOTE
For assistance in troubleshooting an MCS electrical malfunction, refer to Wiring
3.
Replace damaged fuse (TM 9-2320-302-20-1, TM 9-2320-302-20-2, TM 9-2320-363-20-1,
or TM 9-2320-363-20-2).
4.
Check driver's MCS control unit switches for voltage and continuity.
5.
Check trucktoMCS tailgate wiring harness for voltage and continuity.
Repair or replace damaged trucktoMCS tailgate wiring harness (WP 0034).

Repair or replace damaged MCS tailgate wiring harness (WP 0034).
b.
Replace damaged MCS air cylinder solenoids (WP 0050).

CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
Check for air leaks throughout vehicle (chassis) air system.
Tighten or replace leaking or damaged air system components (TM 9-2320-302-20-1,
TM 9-2320-302-20-2, TM 9-2320-363-20-1, or TM 9-2320-363-20-2).
2.
Check MCS tailgate for leaking or damaged air system components.
