Procedure
Check operation of MCS gates (para-
graph 2-13). Listen for air leaks.
Raise and lower dump body and
check for smooth operation (para-
graph 2-10). Be alert for hydraulic fluid
leaks.
Observe the following safety regu-
lations when operating cargo
cover:
a. Never operate system under
obstructions, such as trees
and power lines.
b. Ensure that all personnel are
clear of rear of dump body
and the immediate area of
the cover.
c.
Ensure that chain cover is in
place.
d. Keep all clothing away from
moving parts.
e. DO NOT cover load with
crank handle installed.
Failure to follow this warning may
result in death or injury to person-
nel.
Not Fully Mission
Capable If:
Air leaks are present.
Class III hydraulic fluid leaks are
present.
