Check for cracks, breaks, chafing, or
hardness.
b.
Look for excessive rust or corrosion.
10.
All threaded parts
Look for damaged threads or rounded
heads.
INSTALLATION
CAUTION
Antiseizing tape must be used on all pipe threads to provide a good seal and to prevent threaded parts
from seizing.
NOTE
For more information on how to use antiseizing tape, go to General Maintenance Instructions (page 2-
424).
See tags for correct location of airhoses.
11. Left parking air-
Fitting (2)
Wrap pipe threads with antiseizing tape.
brake chamber (1)
12. Fitting (2)
Left airhose (3)
Screw on and tighten using 3/4-inch and
5/8-inch open-end wrenches.
13. Right parking air-
Fitting (5)
Wrap pipe threads with antiseizing tape.
brake chamber (4)
14. Fitting (5)
Right airhose (6)
Screw on and tighten using 3/4-inch and
5/8-inch open-end wrenches.
15. Rear rear quick
Fitting (8)
Wrap pipe threads with antiseizing tape.

Screw on and tighten using 3/4-inch and
left airhose (3)
11/16-inch open-end wrenches.
b.
Take off tag.
c.
Get rid of tag.
