TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURE
MCS GATE
SYMPTOM
MCS gate does not function properly.
MALFUNCTION
MCS gate will not operate.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
Check for air leaks throughout vehicle (chassis) air system.
Tighten or replace leaking or damaged air system components (TM 9-2320-302-20-1,
TM 9-2320-302-20-2, TM 9-2320-363-20-1, or TM 9-2320-363-20-2).
2.
Check for leaking or damaged air hoses, fittings, or valves on MCS tailgate.
Tighten or replace leaking or damaged air hoses and fittings (WP 0047).
3.
Check for leaking or damaged MCS air reservoir.
Replace MCS air reservoir (WP 0046).
4.
Check for leaking or damaged MCS air cylinder.
Replace or repair MCS air cylinder ((WP 0049), (WP 0050), or (WP 0051)).
